Poor quality aluminum used for production of this specific stand. The edges are indeed rough, you can even cut yourself by touching it. Also the stand is really unstable, you can’t use it with iPad Pro 12”, and incompatible with iPhone 12 pro max as well due to the strongly rounded holders for specific devices.
